What If...
I was thinking about my book and pondering the "what if"s about it. A question that came across my mind was, "what if Max and Fang were the opposite gender of what they are now?". I thought, "That would be very different". It would be different because I think the boy Max would not be as good of a leader as girl Max. I think girl Fang would be more emotional than boy Fang. I think The Flock would be less stable. It would be a lot harder to hold them all together. The boy Max and girl Fang would still probably like each other, it would just be more obvious because they wouldn't really care if the rest of the Flock found out. It was just a silly thought. It would be very interesting if that actually happened though.

The best dream ever...or is it?
For this blog, I'm going to talk about a dream that I had a couple of weeks ago. I had a dream that I had wings and I could fly, just like The Flock. It was without question, the best dream I've ever had. It wasn't real, but it felt so good, I felt like I was on top of the world. Anyways, I thought it kind of related to my book, since the main characters can fly.

Freaks.
For this blog, the topic I will be discussing is what is so different about The Flock compared to regular kids. The main thing that I would like to note is that they don't know their real ages so they estimated that Max is around 17 years old, Fang is also 17 years old, Iggy is about 14 or 15 years old, Gasman is around 12, Nudge is about 11, and Angel is probably close to 7 years old. Max, Fang, and Angel all developed gills, but the gills aren't visible unless they're underwater. Angel has telepathic powers, she can read any living organisms' thought and she can also make believe things that aren't true. Fang has the ability to make himself almost completely invisible in almost any background. Nudge has the odd ability to hack any kind of computer just by touching it. Iggy is blind, but when he touches something with his fingers he can tell what color it is. Gasman has a very strong flatulence odor and can fart-on-command, he can also rig together any kind of bomb or explosive. All of them are much more stronger than any other human, they have very good vision called "raptor vision" which enables them to see for miles, they have bones like birds do so they are light and agile, they have a strong sense of direction so it makes them able to find each other easily if they get split up, and of course as you may know, they all have wings that can fold up under their shoulder blades. Lucky them eh?

Ponder Ponder...
Hiya!
Since last time I blogged there has been a lot that has happened (note: I've already finished the book). For now, I'll stay on just one topic for this post. I think I'll talk about Max's relationship with Fang (the second youngest member of the Flock). Throughout the first four books before this one, Max and Fangs' relationship has grown in many many ways. They seem to have very strong feelings for each other, we know for a fact that Max is desperately in love with him, but we don't know exactly how much he loves her. During their adventures through the years, they have snuck off a couple times to make-out. Every time they do, their love for each other really shows. He can "read" her very well, but she sometimes has a hard time knowing what he is thinking. He's a very mysterious person.
Just when she really really starts to like him Dr. Brigid Dwyer (a character from previous books that "secretly admired" Fang) comes back into play. She "missed Fang so much" and starts to hug him and Max gets very jealous. She isn't totally sure about how Fang feels about Brigid either. So, whenever she sees her with Fang she gets kinda steamy and emotional. But, deep inside her heart she knows that Fang loves her and she definitely loves him. That's all for Blog #2!

Chapters 1-5
Ok, so this is my first blog. So far in the book, there have been a couple exciting events that take place. For example: Max (the main character) is saved by her youngest sister (Angel) because Angel sensed something was wrong, and dropped on Max's back while they were flying. Right after she dropped on her back, a bullet shot right next to her head, if Angel wouldn't have done that, Max would've died right there and then. But, what kind of book would that be, where the main character dies in the first chapter? A bad one. That's why it doesn't happen in this book. Other than that, there have been a couple interesting events as well. They get asked to be "spokesfreaks" for a company and they deny it in a unorthodox kind of way, they go into the meeting, eat food, drink snacks, and then jump out the window (remember, they have wings). They have that effect on people. It's not their fault though, people think of them as freaks, but they're really normal kids. Other than the fact that they have wings, can heal ten times faster, and have "raptor vision". But, that's all I have for my first post!
Until next time...
